I did not know that John-James Audubon was French, and moved to America when he was 18. We recently read this book in English:

We found another book at the library, which is actually translated from the French:

Sadly, our library does not have the French version.

And then, of course, Audubon’s original paintings (which our library had in English):

You can get at least one of his journals in French:

We had this one from our library:

I couldn’t find much about his journals translated into French. All I could find online were very expensive used copies, and editions marked as out of stock. Dommage! I thought this one looked good:

But it’s out of print and out of stock.
